Can I sponsor more than one child?
Yes. You may sponsor as many children as you wish.
Can I give more than my $30 a month?
Yes. You may indicate the amount that you would like to donate each month via PayPal, Automatic Monthly Withdrawal, or on your monthly checks.
Does my full donation go to sponsor my child?
Yes. 100% of your donation goes to sponsor your child. If you are paying by PayPal, then PayPal deducts approximately 3%.
How long will my sponsorship continue?
Children will be sponsored until they have completed college and can support themselves. You have the opportunity to sponsor your child throughout the duration of their school years. For those children with disabilities who are unable to care for themselves and will remain at M.O.M. Orphanage, you will have the opportunity to continue sponsoring them for as long as you wish.
How is my sponsored child benefiting from my monthly contribution?
The sponsorship money you send is added to that of other people who sponsor children at the M.O.M. Orphanage in Otutulu, Nigeria. Your support enables Zoya Ministries to provide benefits such as education, health care, basic food and nutrition for the children. Living at M.O.M. gives your child the chance to learn about Jesus and his love.
What do I receive when I sponsor a child?
Within two weeks of receiving your first monthly donation, you should receive a Welcome Kit that includes a photo of your sponsored child, more information about his/her condition, and details about how your child will benefit from sponsorship.
Plus: Yearly updates from Zoya Ministries on how your child is doing.
Can I write to my child?
Yes. You may mail your letters to Zoya Ministries, Inc., Attn: Sponsor-a-Child Program, P.O. 8000 Coit Rd. Suite #300-119 Plano, TX 75025.
When writing my child, what should I write about?
When writing your child, please include your sponsored child’s complete name and id number as well as your name and sponsor number.
It is best to just be yourself when writing your child. They will be excited just to know that someone cares for them enough to write them. Here are some topics you may wish to write about:

- Good Memories
- Funny Experiences
- Hobbies
- Personal Interests
- What Holidays Are Like For You
- Your Work or School
- What Your Church Is Like
- Your Pets
- Favorite Scriptures
- What Your Child Would Like Prayer For?
When writing my child, what should I NOT write about?
Personal contact information should not be shared in your letters. (Please do not include your home address, e-mail address or phone number in your letter).
Talking about your personal possessions is not recommended. These children come from extreme poverty and sharing about the size of your home or other luxuries would only emphasize the poverty of your sponsored child.
Can I send gifts to my child?
We understand your desire to send gifts to your sponsored child. However, Zoya Ministries recommends that no packages be sent due to the following reasons:
- Very expensive to ship a package to Nigeria
- Slow delivery
- Possibility of loss, theft or damage
- Difficulty getting packages to children in isolated villages
- Possibility of tension created among the children by one child receiving numerous or expensive gifts
Can I visit my child?
Yes. In fact, we encourage you to visit your sponsored child as well as the rest of the children at the orphanage. What if I need to stop sponsoring my child?
If you need to stop sponsoring your child you must submit a request in writing and mail it to Zoya Ministries, Attn: Sponsor-a-Child Program, 8000 Coit Rd. Suite #300-119, Plano, TX 75025. Please include the date in which you wish to have the sponsorship terminated.
What if my child leaves the M.O.M. Orphanage?
If your child leaves the program and is no longer sponsored by M.O.M. for whatever reason, you will be notified and will have the opportunity to choose another child to sponsor or you may choose to have us choose a child for you.
Is my monthly donation tax deductible?
Yes. Zoya Ministries is a 501© 3 non-profit organization. Your donation is deductible based on the normal federal tax regulations.
How should I pay for my monthly sponsorship?
For your convenience, you may wish to set up a monthly automatic withdrawal. Please complete the automatic withdrawal form in your sponsorship packet and be sure to include a voided check and mail it to Zoya Ministries, Attn: Sponsor-a-Child Program, 8000 Coit Rd.

You may also pay monthly by check, which you will need to include your child’s full name and id number as well as your name and sponsor number.

Is it possible to adopt the child I am sponsoring?
Yes. It is our hope that some of the children from M.O.M. Orphanage will be adopted because of this program. You may contact Zoya Ministries for further information on the availability of a specific child for adoption.
